    Charred Green Onion and Creamy Feta Flatbreads

    Ingredients

    • Creamy Feta Spread:
    • 1/2 cup (125 mL) brick-style cream cheese, softened
    • ½ cup (125 mL) crumbled feta cheese
    • 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp (5 mL) dried Italian seasoning
    • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
    • Charred Green Onion Flatbread:
    • 2 bunches green onions, trimmed
    • 1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil, divided
    • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
    • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
    • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) garlic powder
    • 1 pkg (8.8 oz/250 g) naan flatbreads (2 flatbreads)
    • ¾ cup (175 mL) thinly sliced radish
    • 2 tbsp (30 mL) chili oil
    • 1/4 cup (60 mL) coarsely chopped fresh parsley
    • 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh dill

    This grilled onion flatbread delivers delicious flavors in every bite — ready in 20 minutes! Serve as a main dish, snack, party appetizer or dinner starter.

    • Prep Time: 10 minutes
    • Cook Time: 10 minutes
    • Total Time: 20 minutes
    • Serves: 4 to 6
    1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grates well.
    2. Creamy Feta Spread: In food processor, blend cream cheese, feta, oil, garlic, dried Italian seasoning, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
    3. Charred Green Onion Flatbread: In medium bowl, toss green onions with 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    4. Grill, turning occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly charred and tender. When cool enough to handle, chop into bite-sized pieces.
    5. Brush flatbreads with remaining oil and grill, flipping once, for 2 to 4 minutes or until grill-marked and warmed through.
    6. Spread creamy feta spread evenly over flatbreads. Top with charred green onions and sliced radishes. Drizzle with chili oil, and garnish with parsley and dill.

    Tip: Substitute flatbread for rolled pizza dough if preferred. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until puffed, grill-marked and cooked through.
